Our Story.

Meet the Fosters

John and April Foster are the founders of Fostering Foundations, LLC, a ministry and movement devoted to rebuilding marriages, restoring families, and reclaiming identity in Christ. Married for 30 years, they are best friends, ministry partners, and bold carriers of the light of Jesus everywhere they go. Together, they are called to mobilize the Body of Christ to rise, fulfill their purpose, and glorify the Father in every sphere of influence.

April serves as CEO, bringing vision, spiritual leadership, and prophetic encouragement, while John serves as CFO, the wise and steady builder with degrees in finance and accounting and an MBA grounding their mission with strategy and strength. Where April confronts hopelessness, John tackles helplessness. Together, they anchor hearts in truth and empower people to live with courage and clarity.

They have raised two incredible children, homeschooling them through high school with a classical Christian education firmly rooted in God’s Word. Their passion for family extends beyond their own home as they mentor married couples, equip individuals to anchor their identity in Christ, and serve teenagers in foster care through camps, mentorship, and ongoing support. They believe no young person is forgotten and no marriage is beyond restoration.

Now in their 8th season of the Bedroom and Bible podcast, John and April invite listeners into authentic conversations as they read Scripture aloud, share rich dialogue, and pray—modeling what it looks like to pursue Jesus together in marriage. Their heart is simple: to help others move from information to transformation through real encounters with the Holy Spirit.

April is a bestselling author, speaker, and mentor whose books include The Unexpected Guest (2025), The Joyous Journey of Loss, Before She Knew Jesus, and The Joy-Full Entrepreneur. She is currently writing the Love Colored the Way trilogy, created to awaken hearts to God’s relentless love.

Whether scuba diving, hiking mountain trails, skiing, riding in hot air balloons, enjoying beaches, or traveling full-time in their fifth wheel, John and April live with a spirit of adventure. They love Jesus with all their heart, mind, and soul—and their greatest joy is carrying His presence wherever they go, calling others to rise for such a time as this

A son of the Most High King, John carries a quiet strength and prophetic discernment that anchors every room he enters. His life stands as a testimony of faithfulness—to God, to family, and to the call of destiny.

With over two decades of leadership and technical expertise in higher education, John serves as a Senior Consultant for a leading premier international consulting firm, specializing in the implementation of enterprise solutions that strengthen the infrastructure of universities nationwide. For more than a decade, he faithfully served on his church’s worship team, using his musical gifts to lead others into the presence of God. He also served for over ten years as a financial consultant for his local church, helping steward resources with integrity and wisdom.

Today, he co-directs T.R.A.C. Life, a national mentoring program for teens in foster care, and serves as CFO of Fostering Foundations, LLC—the ministry he co-founded with April to restore marriages, rebuild families, and help individuals reclaim their true identity in Christ. Together, they are spiritual architects, equipping others to build lasting foundations on the unshakable truth of God’s Word.

John’s heart for mentorship extends from boardrooms to backyards. He believes that every person—regardless of background or past—deserves the opportunity to discover who they are in Jesus. As a mentor, strategist, and encourager, he leads with humility and Spirit-led discernment, blending wisdom and practicality in a way that produces lasting transformation. His leadership reflects the heart of a shepherd—steady, attentive, and guided by the Spirit.

Whether developing technology solutions that serve thousands, mentoring young men to walk in purity and purpose, or leading worship that ushers in breakthrough, John views every platform as a pulpit. His mission is both simple and profound: to carry the presence of God into every sphere of influence and help others build lives that glorify Jesus.
